 First of all, make sure you know its location, it's usually in the middle or bottom of the engine. Next, place a container below to collect any oil residue that may fall and with the help of a suitable wrench, unscrew the filter in an anti-clockwise direction.

Carefully clean the area with a dry cloth before fitting the new oil filter. Then lubric
ate it with new oil, paying special attention to the area of ​​the thread and the rubber that go to the engine.

Screw the new filter in carefully by hand until it stops. You can help with a dry cloth to tighten it a little more until it fits well, but never with a wrench as you could damage the gasket and cause oil leaks.

It is advisable to replace this filter when changing the vehicle's oil, always following the manufacturer's instructions, although as a guide it is advisable to check its condition beforehand every 3 months or 5,000 km. The filter change should not exceed twice the amount of oil since there is a risk of accumulating too many impurities, clogging or breaking, which would render its function useless.
